La danza sigue siendo un elemento central en el día a día de los países Latinoamericanos. Es un reflejo de la historia y costumbres de cada país, uno de los elementos de identidad más fuertes. Sirve para expresar sentimientos, emociones y experiencias del día a día.
El baile folclórico mexicano como se conoce hoy en día, se asentó durante la revolución, la cual provocó grandes cambios sociales. En ese tiempo la danza fue la herramienta del pueblo para expresar su libertad como una celebración. Sus pasos estudiados, los detalles y el color de la vestimenta, y el vínculo con el México prehispánico son características de los bailes tradicionales de México.
